The Woes of Growing Out Bangs

Oh the woes! I feel like my bangs have reached a level of existence that only requires annoying me at all costs. I can't get them to lay right and out of my face. Don't let the photos fool you. They are a lot more noticeable in person. Maybe it's the hat... maybe they knew they were getting their picture taken and decided to cooperate. Either way, it's monstrous, this bang business. It doesn't help that I itch, I CRAVE, for my hair to be all one length. I have had some form of bangs since my senior year of high school. That is 5 years of this love hate relationship. When will it end? That's what I want to know.

  2. Ugh, girl, me too. Growing out bangs is truly the worst. The rest of my hair looks great, but then I have these sad little bangs that just look awkward. *sigh* At least I've learned my lesson :)

  3. I seriously feel you ... I've tried growing out my bangs countless times and always get so fed up with them, I just end up cutting them back off. Mostly I just get tired of wearing hats all the time ... with growing out bangs, that's just about all I can get to look decent on me! Good luck and as far as I can tell ... You look fabulous!

  4. Just don't give in! Let them grow. I have been so happy without bangs the last couple years. It only took a couple months after the awful phase for them to start blending in with the rest of your hair.

  11. I play this game every month - should I let them keep growing? Make it past the annoying stage? Or go get them cut? I lasted about 6 weeks this summer before caving. My hair grows at warped speed, which is great, except it means trims every 3 weeks. Best of bang patience luck to you, sister.

  16. Oh my gosh yes. Growing out bangs are the WORST. Mine are about that same length as yours, maybe a little longer. They do not want to behave. To cut or not to cut? Ugh, so annoying.

Anyways, you look just as adorable as ever :) Love that hat.

  17. Totally feel you. I've had some form of bangs since 6th grade (wow, it's been like 10 years....) and I tried to grow them out this summer--fail. Complete fail. I looked like a Puritan from back in the day. I think I realized I look better with bangs after all.

Yours looks cute. Don't give up! ;)
