Leaving for a Long Weekend

We are super excited to leave today to spend a long weekend with my family. My littlest brother, Cooper, is getting baptized. Don't even get me started on the fact that he is old enough to get baptized. Forever missing the three year old Coopy. We got lucky that Jordan has the next four days off, so we can stay a little longer than normal. We have to bring Finn with us, so please please pray he does alright in the car for 4 hours. If you have any tips for road tripping with a cat, PLEASE feel free to give it.

Here we come, family!

  1. Wow, I've never gone on a road trip with a cat before, but 4 hours sounds tough! Have a great weekend, though :)

  10. yikes! trips from Austin to Dallas typically take about 3 and a half hours. Marcello the black cat is always initially a little freaked out. He will not stay in the cage. I let him out and he meows for 15 minutes every now and then but he eventually calms down and even sleeps. I've heard that feeding your kitty a few hours before you leave helps so he can use his litter box. All cats are different though. Good luck!

  11. ps. i also take a blanket i always keep over my couch with us so he can have an extra cozy place in the back of my car for him to sit on. it smells like home; i think it calms him down. once again good luck!
