Fishing in Colorado

Jordan has been fishing a lot lately; exploring this beautiful state that we live in. It has been really fun to go with him and learn how to fish. I've officially caught two fish. Nothing that we could keep, but it's still fun. Being outdoors, hiking a bit, getting eaten alive, it's all part of the fun.

I never realized how much I loved Colorado until I left it. Now that I've gotten a second chance to live here, I've promised myself to take advantage of all it has to offer. I'm not incredibly outdoorsy or athletic, so I don't plan on getting crazy here. But I think, so far, we've done pretty well exploring (Jordan is definitely better at it though).

  1. We've been fishing a lot too. It's so much fun being out in the wilderness like that or on water. It brings you back to the present and allows you to really enjoy your surroundings. We inherited a fishing boat last year so we've been on the lakes every day, we've caught plenty, but none to eat. So, I'm hoping one of these we'll be able to bring something home too!

I hope next time you're out you catch the big one!

  8. ROCKS. That's what I miss about Carlyrado. Further east, everything is lush, but there is no rocky ground under your feet when you hike. It's just mud. And pine trees. Michigan has some, but Missouri had none. We really are Colorado girls.
