Warby Parker: Take 2.

Hey, remember a million years ago when I asked you what glasses I should get from Warby Parker? Well I finally got some and I am so happy to have these babies on my face. I ended up getting a pair that I hadn't originally tried on. They are called "Zagg". If you haven't yet, you should check out Warby Parker. Their frames are great.

Welp, I am going to be absent for the next seven days. Jordan and I are going up to Denver to visit my family and to say goodbye to my brother. He is leaving to be a missionary for the next two years in the Marshall Islands (!). We are super excited to support him and also to relax and laugh with my family for a week. We'll be back with a fun surprise that we have been planning for the last month. :) Until then, have a good week!

Earth Tones.

Today's trade is this earthy colored striped shirt which I decided to use as a little pop of color at the sleeve.

So, Rae and I have decided to adjust our Tuesday Trades to once a month starting in February. You wont be seeing this feature as often, but hopefully it can still be a fun little treat every month. We are having a lot of fun with it. Make sure you go check out how Rae styled the top at An Eclectic Heap.

I also wanted to share this. I've talked about this before, but I get told all. the. time. how much I remind people of Aubrey Plaza, or April Ludgate, from Parks and Recreation. Well, I made this little video of a couple of her lines to freak you all out. Enjoy. (If you aren't familiar with Parks and Recreation, then this probably wont mean anything to you.)

Shoes.

I've been reminiscing with my converse the last couple weeks (As much as one can reminisce with shoes, which apparently is a lot). I got these my freshman year of high school and it's just been making me think about all the people I have been in these shoes. It's weird to think how much has changed in seven years. I used to write the names of my love interests on these shoes. There are guy's names crossed out or, in some cases, blotted out forever with sharpie. Now there is just Jordan's name on there because, obviously, I am still fifteen inside and I had to write his name on there.

I loved being a teenager. I had so much fun being stupid and young and dramatic and obnoxious. I think it is important to be all of those things at one point. So I guess I won't get so annoyed at the loud teenagers that sit in front of me at the movie theater. It's just there turn to be all of those things.

Antique Shop.

About twenty minutes away from us, there is this great street lined with antique shops. I did a little exploring yesterday and spent forever in this one shop. I could probably spend all day in there. My vintage lover senses were freaking out. These six pictures do not do it justice. I wish I would have taken more but I kept getting distracted.

The best part is...I bought that radio. I am in love with it. Yee.

Psst...I'm also Guest posting over at The Charley Girl today. Check it out here. :)

Sweater Weather.

Today's trade is this adorable brown sweater. I have to admit that when I took these, it was anything but sweater weather. I was actually sweating real good by the end of this. TMI?

Make sure you check out how Rae styled the sweater over at An Eclectic Heap. Happy Tuesday!

Married Things.

We're gonna try something new on here called Married Things. It will just be a fun little way to share funny/heart-warming/little things we encounter in our married life fun. I really love this guy and I don't want to forget this time we have being just the two of us before we have little ones. So every so often we (I) will share little things that we want to remember.

For the first edition we are going to talk about "Waitresses that flirt with your husband while you are out to dinner". Come on, ladies. Do we really do this? I wouldn't have let it bother me so much if she didn't ignore me the whole time and then get my order wrong and never bring me the ranch I asked for.

Besides speaking my mind to Jordan, I did two things: I made sure to look her straight in the eye every time she came to our table (I was not going to let her pretend I was not there) and then I took it as a compliment. Jordan is a catch and she can flirt with him all she wants, but I get to go home with him at the end of the night. He's mine, Waitress from Texas Roadhouse (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

Did you get that we were making a heart in that last picture? It was his idea.

Trip to the Bookstore.

At 4 o'clock this morning, I woke up and stayed up. I do that sometimes. I decided to take myself on a little date to the used books store. After realizing that I had the wrong directions in my phone (twice), I finally found this place Jordan and I discovered a few months ago. I wandered around for quite some time. There are so many fun things there. I got Jordan and I a couple more comics to add to our small collection. I also found the CD of Fleetwood Mac's reunion concert from 1997, The Dance (!). You guys might remember how I feel about owning CDs but you probably don't know about my deeply ingrained love for this album. I listened to it all the way home and even had to keep from crying during certain songs (That is only partly because of lady hormones, but mostly because of the love) That concert happened in '97, guys. I was seven years old. I feel like that album was the first time I realized there was really beautiful, moving music in the world and not just the Spice Girls.

A Little Update.

No Tuesday Trade today but I am being spotlighted (spotlit?) over at Mr. Taylor and his Lady because I am sponsoring her this month. You should totally go check her out. She is super cute and she and her husband are precious.

I've been getting quite a few people contacting me for blog design help. I decided to make a tab that you can find on the right side of this page. It has all the info you may need about what I'm offering as far as designs go. Take a looksie. Okay, now I am going to go back to watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Hope you're having a good Tuesday. :)

Husband Lookin' Fly.

Jordan was feeling pretty snazzy today at church. This morning he said, "All I need is a glass of scotch and a cigar."

This is my favorite picture though. He's just a big goofball and I love him.

Thrift Store.

Jordan and I spent some time wandering around this massive thrift store today. There were so many clothes, it was a little overwhelming.

(They put their babies in bags) We found some pretty good stuff like the bird pillow and a top from H&M (for me, obviously). The best find was the shoes for husband. He is pretty excited to wear them. We got some laces and they are ready to go. Hooray.

Mini Questionnaire.

These are not our real voices. For some reason we talk like Daxflame when we are together...which is all the time.

Letters from WWII.

Awhile back, Jordan and I went to this estate sale that ended up being a jackpot of vintage finds. They had these WWII letters that Jordan really wanted to get. I didn't really see the point of them though: they were more than I wanted to spend and, as far as we could tell, they were just letters between friends. Well, a couple months later the sale opened back up and I went by myself. They still had the letters and they were marked down a good amount plus another 25% off. I figured I would surprise Jordan for Christmas and get them. After I took them home I realized they were a great find. They actually are letters between sweethearts. The lady selling them obviously didn't know what they were. I have read through quite a few and they are so fun. The handwriting is beautiful and the way he talks to her is just so cute and old timey. Jordan was totally surprised. Win.
