Music in 2012

There has been a lot of great new music this year. These are my favorite albums in 2012. If you click on the image it will take you to one of my favorite songs from each album. If I had to choose my absolute favorite purely based on how much I listened to it, it would be the Punch Brothers, Who's Feeling Young Now? That album, my goodness. Also, I have no shame for my love of Taylor Swift. Just want to make that clear. What have you been listening to this year? I'm a big believer in sharing music, so share away!

  1. Mumford and Sons was definitely an amazing album - and I love that one song from Sucré - funny how I learned of her music from A Beautiful Mess, then the other day I was on the bus and we went by a bus stop with an ipod advertisement with the album cover on it - SO cool!

  2. I had never heard the Punch Brothers before, but I LOVE the song you posted. I ended up watching the video of a live version and it blew me away! I also loved Sucre's A Minor Bird this year, but I mainly coursed on When We Were Young. The song you posted is absolutely beautiful too though -- such a great album!!

  7. There is definitely not shame in a little Taylor Swift love. This year my favorites would have to be Of Monsters and Men and the Lumineers. Beautiful, laid back, happy music.

  9. I absolutely LOVE the Grace Potter and the Nocturnals album, "The Lion The Beast The Beat." Also, if you like country, the latest Zac Brown Band album, "Uncaged," is killer. I could listen to it all day.

  10. I just recently started listening to Sucre. She has an amazing voice. Also, T Swift has such a vibrant and fun personality as well as a great style that it's hard NOT to love her, so there's no shame.
Currently, I'm super into vocal jazz. I'm in LOVE with Stacey Kent, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Renee Olstead, Melody Gardot, Nouvelle Vague.... I could keep listing these amazing vocalists. And fun/strange fact... sometimes I like listening to french music!! Hehe
