Hello all you lovely people. How has it been? Here are some bits and pieces of the last month away. I was expecting life to slow down at least a LITTLE during this break, but it turned out to just get crazier. While I was gone, we went to a family reunion in Colorado. I worked a butt ton at both of my jobs. The words, "One ticket to the 2:00 showing of the Katy Perry movie," came out of my mouth. I photographed my first wedding as the main photographer. My wedding ring was stolen. I was in Aurora with my family when the theater shooting happened. (None of my family was there. My brother and sister were out at a different theater, thankfully. This whole thing has caused us to hold our loved ones a lot closer.) I feel like I've cleared my head a bit and taken the time I needed to switch gears. I'm ready to be back and I have a lot of fun things planned for this site. Thank you all for your kind comments and emails of encouragement. They really mean a lot.

Hooray you're back, though I follow you on instagram so it didn't feel as if you've gone far haha. Sometimes a break is needed, and I'm glad you took one.

I randomly checked back last night and saw your new blog design--you are always changing it and making it more beautiful. I'm so sorry about your wedding ring though, I lost mine 2 months ago and cried a lot. Beautiful photos though and I can't wait to hear about the wedding you shot if you share more.

hello and welcome back! It's fantastic that you shot a wedding as the main shooter...my hubs and I do wedding photography, and keeping it all organized and catching ALL of those important moments is definitely harder than it looks!...so high five for you!
I too was guilty of going to see The Katy Perry movie this month....and it was really good darn it!
Also, I can't believe you and your family were in Aurora for a family reunion at the time of the shooting...I was shaken by those events and I'm way down in Florida, so I can only imagine how that effected you and the family..
