Heating Up.

It's amazing the changes that occur in your wardrobe when you move to a new climate. The last few weeks my outfit choices have all been based on keeping things light and breezy. I still do not know how I am going to survive my first official summer in Texas and this Houston humidity. Especially with this long brown hair on top of my head which I have grown very attached to (pun intended) and would like to keep. This girl is going to be wearing a lot of skirts and eating a lot of popsicles the next several months. Which actually doesn't sound so bad when I think about it. Does anyone have advice for a Colorado girl's first experience with southern heat?

that outfit is adorable! and I'm experiencing some of the same problems, our family just moved to North Carolina and I'm originally from Minnesota...so there will be a bit of a heat difference than what i'm used to also=)

love love love this outfit! and heat + humidity is the WORST! i think you're on the track little lady... really LIGHT airy clothes that can BREATHE. i lived back east for a while where the humidity gobbled you up, and that's what we had to do. Good luck! and keep the cutie ensembles comin sista!

First off, can I just say that you are the most cutest thing ever?! There. I said it. :)

Now, for some advice. Deffo go with skirts and popsicles, and lots of air conditioning. Do some cute slightly messy ponytails and buns for your hair, to keep all that hair off your neck. And that's all I've got. Good luck! :)

This outfit is adorable! Last year I made the move to a really hot and humid location too and had to do a little adjusting myself. I'd say stick to light-weight material, lots of tank tops and dresses! And those lovely wedges you have on will do just fine :)

Woooww. That's gotta be soo warm... One reason I would never move to a place that's super hot and no beach... Unless I'm forced...
Anyway, you look soo gorgeous in these pictures... =]

Hi there! Love your blog!!! :) your style is so pretty. I'm a Houston girl myself, born & raised. It's hot hot hot here but all you need is a swim suit & a pool close by & you are set!! ;) Houston can be be a great place to live if you know where to look. Many great shopping places (galleria, 19th street in the heights, the village), delicious restaurants(ruggles green, chilosos taco house, Kim son resturant) to eat at, and coffee places too! (blackhole, Catalina coffee) I hope you are enjoying yourself so far :) look up some of those places!!! Xo!
