A Day Off.

I had the day off today and decided to go exploring around town. I grabbed my camera and wandered. I soaked in all the beautiful green trees overlapping the streets. I went to a few shops. I didn't fall in love with anything enough to take it home (except that blanket that has been haunting me every time I go to this particular shop. And every time it is still there saying, "Look at me and my perfect colors that would eventually go so well on a grey couch." and I say, "No, I do not want to pay 8 dollars for you. Also I forgot to bring cash, so I can't buy you anyways." It's a whole long ordeal. Eventually someone else will buy it and I will weep over what could have been!)

I got to witness an altercation between two middle-aged women in a thrift store. Something about cats and coyotes and lawyers and all I wanted to say was, "Ladies! We should not conduct ourselves in such a manner. You're being mean and making people uncomfortable." Instead I just tried on this skirt over my clothes and had an internal debate for 5 minutes about whether or not it was something Jordan would make fun of me for wearing.

I took lots of pictures and admired all the antiques. There was a light breeze that was totally messing up my bangs, but I didn't care because the humidity was making me regret wearing jeans. I bought a peach smoothie from this little cafe and while I drank it in my car I quietly thought to myself, "If I'm not careful, I will fall in love with Texas."

  5. Get the blankettt.

A little random story, my husbands grandma who we lived next door to up in the mountains when we first were married here in Switzy...she is moving so she was getting rid of bunch of stuff. She would occasionally give us things and then one sunday in Relief Society there was a table of stuff and I immediately eyed this knitted blanket, that his grandma made. THEN i found out it was my husbands grandmas stuff on that table and she was giving it away. The WHOLE RS meeting I was seriously stressing out that I wouldn't get to the table in time to get that blanket. I shot UP right after closing prayer and snatched it up. I have no idea why she didn't give that to us before, but phew, I got it and its amazing to have on our couch. Not only to look good but we use it all the time. The blanket..
